Almost every morning big tractor plows the beach to get it ready for all those sunbathers. If you get up early enough you can enjoy the “fresh tracks”, almost like at the ski resort. Click on the image to see it in my photo gallery.

Where the Sky and the Ocean Becomes One
I spent only three nights on the Golf of Mexico side and every one of them was very different. This was our last night and we decided to take a walk on the beach to see sunset and take some pictures. We had an overcast sky during entire day and it didn’t change in the evening, but the color of the clouds was almost the same bluish/greenish color as the Golf of Mexico waters. We had a slight wind and the whole place looked kind of magical. This photo was taken right after the sun went down and we still have full glow in the sky. It is on the north side of the Marco Island, almost at the end of northern tip of walking beach. Such a nice place. Click on the image to see it large in my photo gallery.
Flying Rat
While eating at the waterfront restaurant our waitress referred to seagulls as flying rats and that we should not give them any food. This picture was taken on a different day while walking on the beach, I fired a few shots at one of them, most are way out of focus or the bird is not all the way in the frame. This one looks kind of interesting. Check out the wing span of it, would never think that they have such a huge wing span but here you go it is in its full glory. btw, it was taken on the Marco Island in south west Florida, the place is really cool. If a I had couple million bucks in spare cash I would buy a house or a condo (anything decent starts at good million bucks, that how expensive real estate there) down there and go live there during the winter.
