NC Wild Things

I took this photo on one of the hikes in NC mountains. It is about one hour north from Asheville, off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was doing a short time lapse of the moving clouds and taking still photos of them as well. This is one of the still ones. I have yet to assemble the time lapse segments into one continuous clip. One of those days when I have time…

Sunset

US Open is back in town, since it is right here on the east coast, they play all of the interesting matches in the evening. So the Burning Man is happening in Nevada right now, something would be really cool to visit and do some photography, not sure if I ever venture to it though, hmm, maybe I should plan it for next year year after. They got rained in yesterday, which is extremely unusual for that that place. Rain in the desert might bring out some flowers, have to see for some photos from the folks who is currently there for any interesting and weird stuff.

I took this photo couple years ago in NC Mountains. That night I took a bunch of photos of this sunset and posted them over the last couple years. If you care to see them, they should be under Blue Ridge Parkway category.

800

Hard to believe but this post is #800 on the blog. At least 800 photos have been posted from 32 different US States and 10 different countries and two continents. Thanks all for being part of it!

The Hike

We do this hike 2-3 times each year and usually stop for a little break by this tree. Have some snacks and then continue into the woods. It is a bit more strenuous after this.

Pink Sunset

Yesterday I shared with you winter photo from the west coast. Today we are going to be on the other coast, still in the mountains, but not during winter time, this was sometime in May if my memory serves me well, with some mosquitos annoyingly  flying around. This is the view from one of the spots from Blue Ridge Parkway, maybe about 45 minutes north from Asheville, NC. The sun is actually probably setting somewhere in Tennessee, in those wild smoky mountains.

If you are new here, you can always click in the photo to see it at higher resolution, much better way to see it.
