Garden of Eden

If you ever come to Key West and go down town you won’t be able to miss this place. We didn’t go all the way up to see it, not really sure if I want to see clothing optional place without any body of water next to it, like a nice swimming pool or the beach. In the warmer months it might get pretty toasty up there on the roof and no mount of liquor will make it any breezier. In late December bars on the first and second floors were not very busy and seams like pretty much occupied by folks 50+ years of age and a bit wrinkly. So instead we went to the Fat Tuesday across the street. They have some of the tastiest drinks in town.

Safe Travels

Cruise ship in Key West leaving for its next destination. Every day two ships come to Key West, unload bunch of tourist and then leave around 5PM. We were watching sunset from the “Sunset” pier, with hundreds of other watchers. Watching people watching sunset can be interesting as well.

I like how this one turned out, like in one of those sci-fi movies. There was a flash and entire ship disappeared. Not this time.

Perfect Sunrise

I just love those warm perfect sunrises. I don’t get to see them too often, that is why I like to use it as my wall papers and share it as often as I can – this way I do get to see it, even if it was really almost like two month ago.

So this one was taken in Florida Keys on our way down to Key West. I got a few photos from that morning that I really like, hope you like it too.

Rotten Egg Smelling Canal

This is the spot where you put your canoe in the water and paddle to the Bear Lake. It smelled awful, like rotten eggs. We hiked all the way to the Bear Lake to find that it really didn’t have much to look at. It was one of those days when we had high hopes to see some amazing things and it turned to be almost the opposite. That whole Flamingo south Everglades area had nothing to show, really. If you have one day to explorer Everglades then do not go to Flamingo. Go to the northern parts of Everglades, off Tamiami trail. Don’t say I didn’t tell you.

Peaceful Time, Not a Hint of Snow

So we have super duper winter storm here at the moment. I can see from my high rise window blowing snow and traffic on highway standing still. Not a good time to be outside. I was thinking to put some of my winter pictures as today’s post but then this ugliness started. So I changed my mind. I want to see something warm and peaceful, something with water too. So thankfully I had one of those already processed and ready for sharing.

This is in Miami, in Coconut Grove area on the New Years eve, just about 27 days ago… I’d like to see that now instead of snow blowing outside my office windows. I like this yacht forest, growing from the water, so many of them. If you look at the larger image, you can see some details on all of those little yachts.

Just hop on one and sail somewhere warm.
