Winter Anywhere?

Not sure about other parts of the country, but here in NC winter is yet to arrive. Going to be 65F today. Beginning of the week was looking promising with cold front coming in and some snow in the mountains. I was even contemplating to hit some slopes at Sugar and maybe take some winter mountain shots. Well, it is more like spring here now, with winter is yet to arrive. Of course we have about 6-7 more weeks for some potential wintery action, maybe it is still coming.

Today shot is from Maine. Last Spring we did a quick day trip from Boston to Portland and I took a few photos of this little island at Sohier Park. Cute isn’t it?

Portland Streets

Couple month ago we went to Boston for open day at my daughter’s prospective school. Open day was on Monday so we had couple days to look around the area so we decided to drive up to Portland and check it out. We took the coastal roads on the way up, it took a few hours but it was pretty cool to see changing landscape. We only spent maybe couple hours in downtown area, walked a bit, had some beer and took a few pictures. You already saw one of them in “Back streets of Portland” post. Here is another one. It rained, actually snowed n North East couple days prior to this day and coble streets had some water, I thought that mirror like reflection would look cool. You be the judge.

Back Streets of Portland

Just to be clear, this is in Maine Portland, not Oregon. Back side of the fishing shops and small docks. These docks are loaded with crabbing boxes, sounds like a popular type of fishing around here, who knew, haha.
