Friday mystery photo

Hot, Hot, Hot

It is so hot on the East coast at the moment, today got up to 100F with some serious humidity. Being outdoors is very unpleasant. I was planning to do some shooting one of the nights this week, but decided against it.

Counter Attack

To counter attack this weather we have a wind of cold fresh air coming at you from the screen. I bet some day we’ll have technology that will allow to simulate the feel of the environment that we see on the screens of future devices. For now you can just imagine it.

I stayed overnight at this place, in a little tiny room on the first level, with my windows covered by the snow. It was kind of cool, especially during the day, because the snow had this light bluish color to it, illuminated from the faraway sun. So anyway what is that mountain on the horizon?

Danger holes

Walking around tiding pools sometime can be dangerous. But tiding pools are really cool to explorer, so much of marine life with all of the starfishes and other cool creatures.

Columbia River

I think it was the first stop on our scenic drive from Portland to The Dalles Oregon. One of the most beautiful views over it as well. The scenic road takes you along multiple waterfalls, you’ll be able to stop at the house you see on the right, and have more gorgeous views. Slowly it will take you to the Cascades and then to the Hood River. I took this photo from the Rooster Rock Rd at Portland’s Women Forum State Park, it is right off the Historic Columbia River Hwy.

The Lava of Weed

I stumbled on this somewhere around Yachats Oregon. It looked pretty cool, like a river of sea weed or whatever this stuff is. The greener part spends more time in the water, the white is not and gets bleached by the sun, when that sun decides to break through the clouds of course.

Sunrise at Mt Hood

It was a cold day on the mountain, super windy, especially at the higher elevations, above the tree lines. I ventured out to take some photos before sunrise, dressed like I was going to snowboard, my long socks, snowboarding boots, pants and a few layers of top wear and of course a good warm hat. It felt nice and comfy.

Clouds started coming in over night, as the day before we had gorgeous day with clear blue skies, you might remember this photo I posted couple month ago. So as it happens many times with coming clouds from the west, they have not fully reached horizon on the east and during sunrise sun was popping in and out, giving me some nice views. Here is one of the photos from that nice morning in the Oregon mountains.
