A few days ago you saw photo taken from almost the same spot as I took this one. It had a boat. The last boat that came back from the ocean before it got dark. I was walking on the bridge and taking a few photos, including this one.

Coming Home
I like to look at the boats when I happen to be around the open body of water and I always imagine that if I ever end up living in one of those places I’d probably end up getting one my self. I understand that getting a boat or a yacht is like throwing money into the ocean, as it is pure overhead, it introduces all kind of expenses and provides no financial benefit (unless you use it for some business). Of course I have never been on the boat of any size for more than three hours and have no idea if I’d actually like to be on the water that much and even if I liked it how I’d feel to spend a lot of cash for something like that. Hmmm, but it sounds cool to be on the boat and see the world differently from the rest of the solid ground folks.
It is like one of those fantasies we have about a place or activity and what we’d like to do, but have no practical understanding of how it will actually feel like in real life. How about you?

Charleston
Yesterday my wife told me that she would not mind to live in Charleston South Carolina. Well, not sure if we ever end up living there but I found this photo, typical sunset from the battery, so we can look at it for now instead of moving down there.
Friday Mystery Photo
All right, I guess I just can not stop from publishing more and more photos with bridges. Today is a Friday, and Friday is a Mystery Photo Friday day, so no location is disclosed until later during weekend, and everyone of you is encouraged to identify the spot. I chose this one on purpose, as I think it is not super obvious where it is, as it is not one of the national landmarks, or is it? Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend and do let us know where it is.

Anyway, this is Arthur Ravenel Bridge connecting Charleston with Mt Pleasant in South Carolina. I took this photo in Mt Pleasant Memorial Waterfront park, on other side of the bridge is Charleston.
Cotton
I took this photo last month as we drove down to Savannah Georgia. Usually I like to drive highways as it allows highest possible speed limit and usually can get you to your destination much faster. At the same time I like to see the road condition and usually look on my phone for what is going on with traffic. We saw a lot of red on highways and decided to take alternative routes and bypath all the bumper to bumper madness. While speed limit is much lower it actually allows you to see a bit of real country, something you’ll never see from a cookie cutter interstate highway, it even allows you pull over when needed and take a few photos.
We were driving through endless fields of white cotton, which I must say I never done before. I guess it really gets ready for harvest around November, so it was all white, endless white fields, pretty cool site from the road. A few minutes before sunset I found a good place to pull over and take a few photos of the fading sun and some of the white. I wonder what these little globes of cotton end up in. Maybe somebody socks or jeans, or maybe it is not destined for any type of clothing at all, I have really no idea, what South Carolinian cotton is used for. Do you?
