Inside the National Cathedral

Today we are back at the National Cathedral. I think it actually looks kind of better on my photos than in real life. Haha. But it is true, you can look and examine different details, take your time and count all those flags up there (how many of them there anyway?, and what do they represent, anyone?), enjoy the color on the ceiling coming from the bright hot sunny day.

I’ll need to go back there sometime soon, hopefully it is back open for public after recent earthquake.

Up or Down?

When you look at this photo and see the plane, do you think it is going up or down? If you are familiar with this specific geographic location then you’ll know the answer. Visual illusions are always interesting. Well, I guess, I gave away the answer.

Inside the National Cathedral

It would be a cool project to photograph every cathedral, church or other place like this around the world. As long as they are pretty inside. Most places like this made with impressive architecture and some great art. Made to impress you.

National Cathedral is not an exception. It is pretty inside and outside.

Washington Monument–Cloudy Day

This is the third photo from the same location with little fountains. I took this one fairly recently. I had one hour to kill before my flight from Reagan, the clouds were going wild and I decided to do a quick swing by the National Mall. Sunset was about one hour away, with sun behind me popping in out from the clouds.

Washington Monument–Late Evening

In yesterday post I shown my first photo of the Washington Monument, taken back in the summer. I came back here later in the Fall, but in the evening, I wanted to see how it looks with all of those lights illuminating the place.
