Another photo with Cherry Blossoms around Tidal Basin. Have a good day!
I took this on Wednesday morning at Tidal Basin in Washington DC. If you happen to be in DC this weekend then you’ll see it in full bloom. It is probably going to be very crowded, but pretty with all those pink flowers.
I took this photo a while back from my hotel window of a nearby office building. I had a long zoom lens on my hands at the time and it allowed me to zoom into it and get tight for it.
It was taken at the angle as it shows by the horizontal lines. During post processing I tried to turn it and make the horizontal lines to align with the outside lines, but it didn’t look right. So I left it as is. This is how you’d see it as well if you stay at that same hotel in Washington DC.
Are you guys watching this show? I like how they start each episode with series of time lapses from all over the city, with some cool angles, pretty much always showing one of the monuments or the Capitol.
I took this photo from the top floor at the Key Bridge Marriott, they have a conference rooms on the top, so you can just go up the elevator and take some photos. Of course to see Washington Monument this close you’ll need pretty good zoom, it is fairly far away.
I remember it to be really nice sunset there in Washington DC. Colors were really playing nicely in the clouds and allowed me to take a few nice photos. Right now it is probably under some snow from the recent snowstorm, but it probably provides some nice opportunities for photos as well.
