Leonard P Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge

And we are going back the the East coast. If you follow it over the last few days then you probably noticed that its been all bridges, different bridges. This one is crossing Charles River in Boston.

I stayed not far from this bridge back in October and decided to take late evening walk and see what I might find. I’m glad that I ventured out and explored this part of Boston. If you are ever there, you should too.

Boston

It lasted probably only about two-three minutes. It how it usually happens, just a few moments and then it was gone. One thing photos are usually not showing is the brutal cold or heat during the time it was taken. Of course if you see palm trees and folks in shorts and half naked you can assume that it is warm, if you see snow and folks in some parkas you would assume that it is cold. With photos like this you really have no idea when it was taken. You can’t really tell that it was taken last weekend and it was brutally cold with wind blowing so hard I had to find some protection for my camera to keep it stable and not shaken as I took a few photos. By the time I got back to hotel my legs were red from a bit of a frost bite, jeans didn’t keep it too warm, and good old hot shower was very welcome. Looking at it now I’m happy I was there to witness this sunset, no matter how short it was and how cold it was, it was breathtaking few moments. Nothing can beat that, even this photo.

Freaky Weather

Weather here on the east coast have been pretty much weird. Last week I was asking for some warmer days, well, I got my wish, but it should not be that way here in the mid January. As far as I’m concerned the winter is yet to arrive to North Carolina and we are half way through it. March will be around here in about six weeks. We have daffodils coming out like it is early March, just about two month early.

Since winter is yet to arrive, I felt it would be appropriate to post one of the Fall photos at this time. Of course there is no colors anymore, everything is grey at the moment, but unless we get some cold front(s) this whole thing will just transition into the Spring, with no winter.
