In Love

They do so, don’t you think?

If you ever been to San Francisco and walked around Fisherman Warf then you’ll probably recognize this sculpture. Normally you’ll see loads and loads of people around it, fortunately I managed to get up really early that day, scroll around the Warf and take some photos. I liked this composition and decided to snap it. Enjoy!

Coming Home

I think this tanker was coming home, empty to get more oil. Or maybe it is not a tanker at all but freight ship coming back to get loaded with containers. Not really sure, I’m not an expert on it. It is interesting how it was accompanied by that tiny boat. They went through in a matter of couple minutes, maybe even faster as I was only able to take a few shots at it.

This was our first morning in San Francisco, we went to see sunrise and the first thing I saw is this boat coming back from the sea. Pretty cool.

Two Year Anniversary

Two years ago I decided to start a little photo blog and share some of my photography. Two years ago on this day I put a first photo on this blog. Interestingly, as a first test post I put photo taken by my daughter. As a good luck charm perhaps. For the first eighteen month I used the default WordPress template and didn’t do any type of customizations, I just posted some photos, some months more some less. About six month ago I decided to get a bit more personal, learned a bit of CSS and customized the look at feel of this blog the way I wanted it. I decided to post at least twenty photos per month and so far staying on focus with it. I’m happy where I am with this blog. I think I have a good number of consistent followers (you know who you are Smile) and a good number of folks who come and go. I hope you come back and bring your friends and family. Please do.

I really appreciate you all coming here day after day. Thank You!

I’m not posting any new photos today. Instead, I decided to post five photos that received the most amount of ‘likes’ from you guys. The five most popular photos from the last six months are:

Golden Gates

I think this is probably one of the least common views of the Golden Gates bridge. Most of them are taken from the north side or from the east side in San Francisco. I think most tourists don’t make to this part of the city. Walking is a bit far, I’m not sure if any public transportation really goes here, getting by car is the most convenient way, at least it is how we got here, driving out to the Pacific ocean I was trying to get some views of the bridge and we found our way to El Camino del Mar.

Sleepless in San Francisco

Actually quite contrary, I wanted to get more sleep, but how often do I have a chance to visit San Francisco and go see sunrise at the Fisherman’s Warf? This was the first photo I took that day. Didn’t plan to take it at all, but as we were walking towards the Pier 39 I saw this trolley coming towards us, it took me couple seconds to put camera down on the ground, level it, frame it and push the trigger. No time for a second shot. The driver gave me a high five (over the air, Smile) as he was passing us. It was a good start for a good day in a cool city.
