Istanbul Panorama

This photo was taken with Sony NEX-7 camera, using its panorama mode. This mode actually works pretty well after you get hold of the speed you should move the camera. If you have one, try it. I’m not big fan of the panoramas due to the fact that it is usually hard to see the entire photo in high resolution on the normal monitor.

Couple weeks ago we went to see latest James Bond movie, it starts with some action scenes in Istanbul. Since we spent whole 3 days during the summer in Istanbul, I was watching for details to see if it was in fact the Istanbul, the expert, hehe. Chasing scene on the bikes was pretty cool, way unrealistic, and they were out of the city (Grand Bazaar area) like in 15 seconds in some country foothills. But that is of course Hollywood, and Bond, nothing close to reality, but action packed and exciting nerveless!

Monday Morning Movie

If video is not shown in the browser or applications then visit it at Mediterranean Sunrise from Dmitrii on Vimeo.

This is 16th second time spot photo in this video. We were at Renaissance resort near Antalya Turkey this summer and I took a few short time lapses and some photos. As you might figured it out, every Monday I’m posting one of my short videos and one of the photos from that video. I have half a dozen of them at the moment so every video get shown about every six weeks. I’m trying to compile couple more videos, just have no time to do it yet, too busy with other things with my off work available time.

Friday Mystery Photo

It is another Friday of course and we have another “Friday Mystery Photo” for you. This one is from a very sunny place as we can see, even with some water, so must be easy to figure out, or is it?

I tried to put this photo through HDR process and it just didn’t look good. Sometimes single raw photo processed with HDR techniques can produce very nice results, not in this case. I liked the original look of it much better.

Monday Morning Movie–Sunrise

Mediterranean Sunrise from Dmitrii on Vimeo.

This summer we spent a few days at the Renaissance resort near Antalya Turkey. I managed to get up couple mornings very early and go see the sunrise. The video above is a compilation of a few photos, attempt at the timelapse (which didn’t work out as good for my liking) and some normal video. As always with my videos, I’ll be sharing the high resolution stills that you saw in the video. If you like it, you can click on it and download it to your computer.

Random Wall Mural

Whenever I see some cool murals I try to take photos of them. In this case, we were walking in Istanbul and I saw this mural on one of the side streets, I thought it looked nice and nothing was obstructing the view or put any shadows on it, a few seconds later I had it on the memory card waiting for this day to be processed and presented to the world.
