I took this photo about 18 month ago on one of my first visits to Boston. It was cold and snowy, with a lot of cool boats parked for winter and some sailors coming off the water. This fence looked cool and I wanted to remember it many days and month later. Thanks to it, I still do.
Yes…it does look cold -Brrrrrr
It gives immediately a feeling of cold…but the colors in contrast with the grey sky are awesome.
That IS a cool photo!
Nice Shot. You should come back to Boston in the Fall when it’s actually nice out. 🙂
I was there last October, hoping to get some colors but last fall was pretty bad in northeast.
At first, I mistook the snow for sand! Really nice.
Waterboat ~ water/boat… Hmmm. Bet the boats are in dry dock eh?
No, most of them out in the open, dry docks I’m sure somewhere around, but not in this part of town. If you look for some of my past photos from Boston you’ll see at least one with bunch of boats.
Gorgeous photo.
Awesome photo!
I think it is the color combinations that are in this photo, but whatever it is, I really like this.
What a bright collection of floats! Nice shot.
:-), this is what attracted me to it in the first place, plus the sign with gold print on it
I can’t wait to visit Boston for the first time in July! I love this photo.
I love Boston, but not in the winter! Great shot. Love the color contrast.
What a fascinating shot. It really makes you stop and explore every item in the picture. Love the dark sky too.
This shot has fantastic composition.
Reblogged this on New England Club.
So weird going through blogs I follow… We are in mass & I took a similar pic ( minus snow!! ) of this Same sign yesterday! Caught my eye too! My second trip to Boston
One of my favorite parts of the country!
I really like this – it almost looks desaturated but the colors from the hanging flotation devices keep your gaze on the photo.
Is this actually In the Winthrop Deer Island Area location
