DC Metro

DC Metro stations are not the most beautiful in the world, but they do have their own uniqueness. This is like a honeybee, with little cells waiting for some visitors. The station, as you can see, is Court House, which is actually in Arlington, not in DC. The train is about to come and take us into DC under the Potomac river. I think we went to George Town area, or maybe somewhere else, can’t remember now. Would you like to see the coming train?

Potomac River from Key Bridge

If not for the building on the right and boat on the left, you’d never even think that it is somewhere urban. The reality is that it is pretty much downtown DC, taken off the Key Bridge, with late evening commuting traffic roaring behind me and shaking this bridge to the a point I thought I’m not going get any sharpness in these pictures at all. This week I went back there and took more photos with Georgetown University, kayaks under below the bridge and setting sun. Look out for one or two of those photos in the coming weeks.

DC Tunnel

If you run or bike on the , you’ll have to go through this tunnel. I think it is under Massachusetts avenue. it is all woodsy around and way below the street so hard to know from down there where exactly it is located. I guess I can investigate it on the map and figure it out, but I don’t feel like doing it at the moment. Maybe you can figure it out and leave a comment about it. It was around 8PM when I took this picture and was getting dark, the trail was fairly empty by this time, but even then I spent at least 10 minutes getting the right shot. Bikers are very fast and by the time you get in the middle position the camera and trying to take a shot someone is coming from either end. I took about five shots and this one was the best out off all of them.

Cherry Blossoms

This is my last one in this series, for now. I’ll look later in archive and see if any other photos are to my liking for sharing. When I went to take sunrise photos most people were taking photos of Jefferson Memorial across the Tidal Basin, with water included in the shot. I did the same, as you can see in my previous three photos. After taking those shuts, I went around the basin to find different angles on the memorial. On the other side of the basin there were no tourists and no photographers. After taking a few shots and trying different angles with trees, columns and rapidly rising sun I took this photo. I think it captures Cherry Blossoms with one of the most iconic American memorials in pretty cool way.

Cherry Blossoms

As I mentioned, I took a few photos of them and want to show most of them at this time in April. So here is another one.
