Cherry Blossoms

This year, finally, I managed to take some pictures of the famous DC Cherry Blossoms. I landed in DCA at around 6:15AM and on my way to work stopped by the Tidal Basin and took a few sunrise photos. A few of them turned out pretty good, I like them a lot. It was actually fairly cold, near freezing and super windy, not the most pleasant time to scroll around and take photos. I only spent there around 45 minutes before sun got up and I had to leave for 9AM meeting in downtown DC. There was a good number of people there taking pictures, a lot of folks with tripods, wedding photography with brides half naked in cold trying to put natural smiles, students working on their art projects and some folks are just enjoying the scene. Well, since you were not there, here is a bit of magic for you to enjoy.

Holidays Are Coming

This month is going to be colorful, shiny and pretty due to the Christmas and New Years decorations – Holidays are around the corner. Here is my first one, with one big pretty tree.

At Nationals Park

Last night we had company outing at the Nationals stadium in Washington DC. I walked around and took many pictures, most of them didn’t make a cut. I was hoping for a nice sunset with dramatic colors, but it didn’t happen. Here are a few pictures from around the stadium.

This is the President. Or his reincarnation. Or whatever else that big head can be.

He is ready to pitch it…

And he did, look how abnormal his arm looks. All twisted in some strange geometry

If you zoom into this picture, you’ll see the flying baseball.

And if you look up from the above flags you will have the following view on the river.

Reagan National

I’ve been through this airport about 200 times over the last few years. I like this airport. Very easy to get in, easy to get out. I like the space in it, huge windows and cool floors. There are a lot of good restaurants on the main level, so if you have time, then don’t go through security just yet. Eat, have coffee or glass of wine at one of the dozen places they have. Security lines are fast too.

This airport is popular with DC politicians. I’ve seen here a few senators and some congressmen. I only know a few by their appearances, so I probably walked by many and didn’t even know who they are.

Here is how it looked couple days ago.
