Morning Traffic
Potomac River is the busy place in early morning hours. Right around Key Bridge pretty much every morning you’d see a lot of rowing. Different teams or clubs. Maybe some are part of the nearby Georgetown University or some other college. They are moving very fast, surprisingly fast. Usually you’d see one team here, and another team there. I saw three separate groups coming from different directions and it appeared that they will be all together, close enough to get them into single frame. This is btw, was taken with 400mm lens, I was far far away from it. You can rent one too from the place like borrow lenses.
Pink Cherries
I’ve been trying to compile some photos from Cherry Blossoms festival I took last week and made a short movie for this Monday, but that didn’t happen, so instead the DC Short time-lapse is back today, but it follows but the Cherry Blossoms photo from last week. As for the video, I’ll try to get it ready for next Monday.

Memorials
Cherry blossoms are in full bloom this week. I thought I was not going to see it, as it was delayed and delayed, and it was suppose to be in full bloom last week, but it was still cold and didn’t happen. So this week I think it is a mad house around Tidal Basin, more likely tens of thousands of people hang out around there. I must try to see it as well and add one more body to the count.
This photo was taken couple weeks ago from the top floor at Marriott Key Bridge hotel. Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial appears very close to each other, but in fact there is about 1.5 mile between them. This is visual effect achieved via compression, this happens when you use high focal length, it makes things look really close to each other.
Werewolf Hour
I didn’t get to see any cherry blossoms this week, but last night I took a good walk from Roslyn over the Key Bridge all the way to the National Mall. As sunset hit I saw the full moon rising, I completely forgot about it so it was a nice surprise. Those clouds moved in a few minutes later and covered the moon. Does it still count as a full moon for werewolves and other similar creatures?
