Back in Seattle

It looks like I’m going back on a business trip to Seattle at the end of January & start of February. It is not the best time to catch perfect weather around those parts, but who knows, it might not rain and we might get some sun. I’ll be pretty busy but might be able to squeeze one or two evenings to go and shoot some photos, weather permitting. Any recommendations on some good areas for Seattle winter photography?

I know there is a spot from a hill in the south east Seattle with very cool view over downtown and highways. I’ll try to get there. Also, I’ve seen nice photos with beautiful views of the TV tower and the Mount Rainier. I might try to get there as well, not sure where exactly to take those photos from. It might be taken from someone’s private balconies, looking at the map, it is all neighborhoody.

This photo was taken from West Seattle, Hamilton Viewpoint park. There is actually a lot of air traffic in the air above Seattle and I had to take a few shots and time it just right between different airplanes and helichopers.

Seattle Skyline at Night

I have been to Seattle many times and never knew that it is only 15 minute water taxi ride to see it in all its glory from the west side. Maybe the reason that I didn’t know is because on all of my previous trips I didn’t do any photography. On the last trip however I was trying to find interesting spots and views to take some photos and discovered that it is super easy to get to this side of the harbor.  So here is the big city for you at night in its glory lights. 75 Miles Away, Feels Like 5

We were on the Edmonds-Kingston ferry, on our way to check out Cape Flattery. About five to ten minutes from Kingston this view opened up. Downtown Seattle is about 15 miles away and the Mount Rainier is about 75 miles away from the ferry. Pretty awesome view.

Gum Wall

It is pretty gross. The alley smells like gum. It is because the entire wall is made of gum. Someone chewed each of this little pieces and stuck to the wall, gross, gross. If you been to Seattle and missed this little treasure, then you missed it all. If you want to see it all with super details then just click on the image to open it in my photo gallery.
