Summer solstice sunset at 12100 feet high

We decided to see sunset on the longest day of the year from the closest highest driving spot, so quick drive to the Trail Ridge Road in RMNP was in order. It was cold, windy and by the time we were leaving, we were covered in the white fast moving cloud… at 12100 feet high elevation weather turns on a dime!

Not disappointing sunset. Don’t you think?

Summer Time in RMNP

I took this photo 5 years ago on one of the short hikes off Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. We are planning to get fairly early tomorrow and escape another hot day here in Boulder by going to the same place, while it still have plenty of snow.

Would it look the same?

Big Sky

Took this last year in late May, first or second day after they opened Trail Ridge Road in RMNP.
