Autumn Flowers

Patterns are good. I think that to make a pattern you have to do it at least three times. Two does not do it, but if you do something twice that can start a pattern, doing it a third time is almost like an obligation. See where I’m going? The last two posts were about flowers during different seasons, Spring and Summer. So today I had to post flower photo, but from the next season. It just had to be done this way. I don’t know if next photo will be with flowers from the Winter season, I actually have no idea if I have any photos with such flowers, so maybe this series will be very short lived, but, heck it did make me feel good about it. And that is all that is counts.

Spring Flowers

Yesterday I spent most of the day working in the yard, cleaning and fixing the aftermath of the ice storm. Ice storms have one bad side effect – they bring down a lot of trees, tree branches and bend a lot of them down. We have a lot of evergreens, and they are especially sensitive to ice. Good day outdoors.

Over the next two month there will be a lot of flower photos, it is Spring time after all. I try not to post many photos taken around my house, but sometimes it feels appropriate, when it shows something different, especially something that is purely natural, something I didn’t plant or do.

I have no idea what kind of flowers those are, but they show up right around this time in my backyard and very lovely.

Back, where I grew up, we usually have little pretty flowers coming right from under the snow, we call them “Under the Snow” flowers. I have not seen any of them around North Carolina. So these white beauties remind me about my childhood in far away lands.

Friday Mystery Photo

I’m going to start sound like a broken record but this weather is really getting annoying. North Carolina is under another winter storm with more ice and snow, and it first week into March.

The photo below of course was taken during somewhat warmer times, on a much nicer day. Where do you think it is?

Saturday Update: As always, thanks for stopping by guys! This one was not super easy, but we have our experts in the audience. cassiedianne and karljamaica got it right, it is indeed at the Biltmore Estate. You can see the Biltmore House chimney between the beams.

Snow Daffodils

Another week, another snow storm. Getting use to it by now. I didn’t think we’d get any snow in NC this time around, but after a few hours of rain with slit, it turned into pretty snow fall. Nice dry snow, just about maybe an inch or so. I took this one yesterday morning near my house.

Biltmore

What do you think about closing ceremony? It was pretty cool, I think they did a good job.

Looks like Spring around the corner. With that huge snow storm just ten days ago, this weekend was really nice, mid sixties, sunny days. Flowers are coming out all over my yard and in just probably another week or two it will be all yellow. I’ll take a photo or two.

And it about two month everything will be back green and nice, just like on this photo at Biltmore Estate.
