The Never Ending Commute

Boy oh boy, I’m so glad I was not one of those folks seating in those cars. Never ever ending commute and the traffic light behind me was only able to accommodate 4-5 cars on each green. As it was fully packed with cars all the way North Capitol Blvd. They should be home by now. Hate bumper to bumper commute.

I was walking that day and enjoyed being carless for a moment.

Into the Light

I have to admit that I like to watch “House Hunters International” on HGTV. I don’t watch it too often, maybe once a week on average. It is interesting to see different types of houses around the world and how much it costs to live there. Of course you should probably not take it all at the face value, as what they show might not be really representative of the normal housing market. Still it is interesting.

When you see a plane flying above you, what is the first thought that comes to you, if any?

Georgetown Thunder

I got soaked wet about five minutes after taking this photo, totally unexpected as I thought it will go other direction. Catching the thunder on the photo was totally unexpected too. I was taking some photos as I was walking across the Key Bridge and got it totally by chance.

DC Nights

I took this from my window at Hilton hotel near DuPont  Circle. I stayed there only once while back and had this nice view of the city. If you ever get a chance then stay at this hotel as well, make sure to get your room on a high floor and with DC down town views.

National Cathedral

If you would go there now, and for the last two plus years, you’d see some work benches around the top of the right tower. It was slightly damaged during earthquake back in the August of 2011.

I was actually had some meetings in DC area when is happened, and was on the 24th floor of the office building. The shaking was very unnerving, the elevators were shut down and we had to go down the stairs, which was very slow and hot journey. As we were going down, it took probably at least 30 minutes, we learned that the earthquake epicenter was couple hundred miles away, and there was potential risk of the aftershock.

There were no aftershock, but man, as I was walking down, all kind of crazy thought were popping in my head.
